BUKIT MERTAJAM, April 26 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has warned that Malaysia’s digital transformation must not widen inequality.
Stressing that technology should benefit all Malaysians rather than only urban and high-income groups. He said the government is committed to bridging the digital divide.
By ensuring rural communities are not left behind, while also expanding access to quality education and digital skills from an early age.
Anwar added that major foreign investments from companies such as Infineon, Nvidia and Geely must translate into real economic gains, including job creatio.
And broader opportunities for the people. He also highlighted programmes like e-Tuisyen Rakyat at NADI centres.
Which supported over 42,000 students in 2025, as part of efforts to strengthen digital learning nationwide.
