PUTRAJAYA, April 27 — The Huayan Pureland Buddhist Society has lodged a police report after its name and Facebook account were allegedly misused to publish posts insulting the Sultan of Selangor.
The society clarified that the account involved is fake and has no connection to them, describing the incident as a malicious attempt to damage their reputation.
Its secretary said the impersonation was discovered on April 25 after receiving a message alerting them to the posts.
Firmly denying any involvement, the society stressed that the content was defamatory and urged authorities to investigate the matter.
