KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 — Former prime minister Najib Razak has withdrawn his appeal to serve the remainder of his SRC International prison sentence under house arrest, court records show.
His legal team filed a notice of discontinuance earlier this month, with the Court of Appeal Malaysia confirming the move and striking out the case.
The decision means Najib will continue serving his sentence in prison and cannot refile the appeal. His jail term, reduced to six years following a royal pardon.
Could end between 2026 and 2029 depending on remission and fine payment. Separately, Najib is appealing a conviction linked to the 1Malaysia Development Berhad case.
Where he faces an additional 15-year sentence.
