KUALA LUMPUR, April 27 – The government is strengthening the Program Jualan Rahmah MADANI as a targeted cost-of-living intervention, now covering 600 constituencies nationwide.

The initiative offers essential goods such as rice, cooking oil, eggs and chicken at 10 to 30 per cent below market prices, benefiting low- and middle-income groups.

From January to March 2026, over 7,300 programme sessions recorded more than 7.3 million transactions, reflecting strong public response.

Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Armizan Mohd Ali said the programme will be further expanded amid global energy uncertainties.

In Sarawak, subsidised fuel access under the SKPS scheme has also been extended to water transport operators, helping reduce costs and maintain affordable fares.
