SEREMBAN, April 28 — Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun has confirmed he will continue administering the state government.
After receiving advice from the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, following the withdrawal of support by 14 Umno assemblymen.
Aminuddin said he had formally informed the Ruler of the latest political development, and Tuanku Muhriz had advised him to continue his duties as menteri besar.
Until there is clear and conclusive determination on the matter, in line with the State Constitution. He stressed that the state government will continue operating as normal.
To ensure administrative stability and safeguard the welfare of the people. He also addressed ongoing constitutional and customary issues involving attempts to challenge the position of the Yang di-Pertuan Besar.
Stating that such matters must follow the procedures outlined under the Negeri Sembilan Constitution (UUTKNS) 1959.
This includes a “full and complete enquiry” before any decision can be made by the Undangs, followed by proper constitutional processes and formal proclamation.
Aminuddin reiterated that all actions will strictly adhere to legal and constitutional provisions to preserve stability and harmony in the state.
