BUTTERWORTH, April 28 — Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia (DOSM) Penang will cover nearly 100,000 business establishments under the Economic Census 2026.
Spanning key sectors including services, manufacturing and construction. Launched at PICCA Convention Centre.
The initiative aims to produce comprehensive data to support national and state economic planning. The census, running until October 2026.
Aligns with Penang’s development blueprints and will include new data on AI adoption and inclusivity. Officials say it will strengthen policy-making.
And ensure the state remains resilient amid global economic uncertainties.
