GEORGE TOWN, April 30 — Penang will host the world’s first Capybara PIMOO-themed Fun Walk, a 5km community event.
Organised by 1st Avenue Mall Penang in collaboration with the Penang State Tourism and Creative Economy Office and IP partner KOMIC Sdn Bhd.
State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy Wong Hon Wai said the initiative reflects Penang’s push for creative, people-centric tourism ahead of Visit Malaysia 2026.
While Komtar assemblyman Teh Lai Heng highlighted its role in revitalising the Komtar district and supporting local businesses.
The event will feature themed merchandise, family activities, and a scenic route through George Town’s UNESCO heritage streets.
