KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 — United Malays National Organisation has called for an immediate meeting with Pakatan Harapan to address tensions arising from the Negeri Sembilan political and royal institution crisis.
In a statement, UMNO secretary-general Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki said the party remains committed to defending the Malay Rulers institution.
And expressed concern over recent developments involving state customs and governance. UMNO said it respects Barisan Nasional assemblymen who have withdrawn confidence in the Menteri Besar.
But reiterated its continued support for the unity government to ensure stability and public welfare. The party stressed that all disputes should be resolved.
Through established consultation mechanisms under the unity government agreement.
