GEORGE TOWN, May 1 – The Penang Autoshow 2026 has made its historic northern debut at the Penang Waterfront Convention Centre.
Marking the first regional edition of Malaysia’s premier automotive showcase. Organised by Moonman Events and endorsed by MARii.
The event highlights Penang’s growing role in automotive, semiconductor, and precision engineering industries while making sustainable mobility technologies more accessible to northern communities and industry players.
The event features over 50 exhibitors, more than 40 New Energy Vehicle models including six previews, and a 4.8-kilometre test drive experience.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the showcase strengthens Penang’s position in global automotive transition. MARii CEO Azrul Reza Aziz added it expands national outreach beyond MAEPS.
Running until May 1, the event also includes a Labour Day tribute with live performances, podcasts, and a Tesla light show, positioning it as a major family and industry attraction in the region.
