GEORGE TOWN, May 1 – Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow has officially launched the Penang Autoshow 2026 at PWCC.
Calling it a milestone that reflects Penang’s growing role in the national automotive and mobility ecosystem.
He said the event goes beyond vehicle showcases, highlighting technological transformation driven by electronics, semiconductors, and precision engineering.
He added that Penang is now central to Malaysia’s shift towards electric and smart mobility, supported by major investments from global and local industry players.
Aligning with national low-carbon goals, he stressed the importance of collaboration between government, industry.
And the public to accelerate adoption of green transport and strengthen the future of sustainable mobility.
