KUALA LUMPUR, May 2 — Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has clarified that statements of no confidence made by three Umno wings against Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun.
Should be treated as personal views and not the official position of the party. He stressed that Barisan Nasional’s (BN) representation in the state assembly is based on collective party decisions that must be respected.
Zahid said the remarks from Umno Wanita, Youth and Puteri over issues involving customary institutions reflected individual concerns rather than a formal party stance.
He added that while such views exist, BN and Umno remain committed to party discipline and unity in handling state political matters, including decisions affecting governance and stability in Negeri Sembilan.
