KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the government’s Bumiputera empowerment agenda under the Madani framework.

Which is being implemented more assertively while rejecting claims that it favours elitism. Speaking at the 60th anniversary celebration of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA).

Anwar stressed that policies are designed to be inclusive without sidelining Bumiputera interests. He cited the decision to grant automatic matriculation placement to students who achieve 10As regardless of race.

While maintaining the existing quota system that continues to benefit a large majority of Bumiputera students.

He said this reflects a balanced approach, urging critics not to view policies in isolation or frame them as a zero-sum game.

But to consider the broader objective of equitable opportunity and national development.
