KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 — Lim Guan Eng has criticised Barisan Nasional, United Malays National Organisation, Perikatan Nasional and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party.
Over opposition to the Rain Rave Water Festival 2026, highlighting its reported RM200 million tourism impact and 180,000 visitors.
He said the event, supported by Tourism Minister Tiong King Sing, concluded safely and boosted small businesses while strengthening Malaysia’s tourism image.
Lim also questioned BN and Umno’s stance despite being part of the unity government, urging greater consistency in supporting initiatives that drive economic growth.
