KOTA KINABALU, May 5 — Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof revealed that 320 cases of illegal subsidy misuse have been detected under Ops Tiris 4.0 since March 16.
The violations were uncovered through 18,261 inspections conducted nationwide, with authorities detaining 85 individuals to assist in investigations.
Fadillah said most cases involved controlled diesel (138), followed by petrol (77), liquefied petroleum gas (41), cooking oil (35), sugar (22), and wheat flour (seven).
He stressed that the operation sends a strong message against abuse of public subsidies. The announcement was made during a task force meeting in Sabah.
