KUALA LUMPUR, May 5 — The Unity Government Leadership Consultative Council between UMNO and Pakatan Harapan.
Chaired jointly by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, has agreed to maintain political cooperation in Negeri Sembilan to ensure state stability and public welfare.
In a joint statement, both coalitions said they respect the positions previously decided by their respective political bureaus on issues in the state.
The council also agreed that any state government decisions that could trigger sensitivities or disputes must be referred to the consultative council for resolution.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to preserving unity government cooperation in Negeri Sembilan.
The statement was issued by PH Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and UMNO Secretary-General Datuk Wira Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
Underscoring continued coordination between the two coalitions amid recent political tensions in the state.
