KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 — The Democratic Action Party (DAP) has instructed its machinery nationwide to be on standby for possible snap elections in Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and Johor.
Secretary-General Anthony Loke Siew Fooksaid the move follows discussions by the party’s Central Executive Committee amid ongoing political uncertainties in Negeri Sembilan.
He stressed that DAP will continue supporting Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun and rejected any proposal to replace him.
The party also reaffirmed respect for the constitutional monarchy, including Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, urging that all state matters be handled in accordance with legal and constitutional frameworks.
