KUALA LUMPUR, May 6 – UOB has facilitated more than RM18 billion in foreign direct investment into the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone since 2024.
Highlighting strong momentum in cross-border collaboration. At the UOB–Invest Johor Strategic Forum 2026, the bank announced new investor commitments exceeding RM1 billion.
Reinforcing confidence in the zone. Johor Menteri Besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the partnership continues to attract high-quality investments, create jobs and strengthen local industries.
UOB also launched its My Digital Space initiative in Malaysia, aimed at equipping students with digital and AI skills.
CEO Ng Wei Wei said the programme reflects the bank’s commitment to talent development alongside investment growth, with plans to benefit over 100,000 students across the region.
