KUALA LUMPUR, May 7 — The theme and logo for Hari Wartawan Nasional 2026 were officially unveiled with Penang set to host the national celebration on June 20 at the Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The event, to be officiated by Anwar Ibrahim, carries the theme “Media Integrity Strengthens Credibility,” highlighting the importance of ethical, transparent and responsible journalism in today’s digital landscape.
The official logo incorporates elements of the Penang Bridge, symbolising unity, progress and the host state’s identity.
A series of programmes will lead up to the celebration, including forums, exhibitions, a fun walk and cultural events across Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
The initiative underscores a continued commitment to strengthening journalism professionalism and public trust while supporting a more informed and resilient society.
