GEORGE TOWN, May 8 — Malaysian artist Red Hong Yi will present her latest solo exhibition, “I’m a Mum?!”, opening on May 10 at Cultprint in George Town.
Running until July 12, the showcase explores the realities of motherhood through works created from pregnancy to the early post-partum period.
Offering an intimate reflection on identity, care, and transformation. The exhibition features 30 embroidered pieces documenting the first month after childbirth.
Alongside installations and body imprints capturing emotional and physical experiences. Rejecting idealised portrayals.
The showcase highlights the complexities of motherhood while celebrating resilience, inviting visitors to engage with its honest and deeply personal narrative.
