KUALA LUMPUR, May 9 – Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) reaffirmed Malaysia’s position as a strategic semiconductor hub.
Through the Micron-OCBC Johor–Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) Supplier Event held alongside SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026.
The initiative brings together global industry players and suppliers to strengthen supply chain resilience, localisation and long-term competitiveness.
MIDA chief executive officer Sikh Shamsul Ibrahim Sikh Abdul Majid said the JS-SEZ would help connect global technology leaders with local capabilities.
While supporting Malaysia’s semiconductor growth strategy. Industry partners including Micron Technology and OCBC Bank also pledged support for supplier development and regional integration.
