GEORGE TOWN, May 10 – The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development will launch a one-stop online portal this month to help micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
Access information on financing, training and government support programmes. Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong said the initiative was introduced following complaints from entrepreneurs.
Who struggled to identify suitable funding sources spread across multiple ministries and agencies. Sim said the government has allocated RM60 billion for SMEs.
Including RM50 billion under Budget 2026 and an additional RM10 billion announced recently. Speaking at a town hall session with the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing Penang.
He said the portal would centralise information from various agencies to make assistance more accessible.
Sim also highlighted Malaysia’s political stability, strategic location and multicultural workforce as key advantages in strengthening the nation’s competitiveness amid global economic uncertainties.
