BAGAN DATUK, May 10 – Umno president Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the party is open to considering applications from Bersatu lawmakers.
And leaders who were recently expelled or suspended, in line with Umno’s Rumah Bangsa initiative. He said the party welcomes individuals.
Especially Malays, who wish to join and contribute to the party’s struggle. Zahid was responding to remarks by Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki.
Who had invited affected Bersatu members to join Umno. Yesterday, Bersatu expelled several leaders, including Suka Menanti assemblyman Dzowahir Ab Ghani and Sungai Tiang.
Assemblyman Abdul Razak Khamis, while five Members of Parliament were suspended for two party election terms.
