KUALA LUMPUR, May 13 — Malaysia and Japan have reaffirmed their long-standing economic partnership, focusing on strengthening supply chain resilience, green transition, and high-tech investment cooperation amid global uncertainty.
The engagement, involving Malaysian Investment Development Authority chairman Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Aziz and Japanese Ambassador H.E. Noriyuki Shikata, brought together government officials and industry leaders from both countries.
Discussions highlighted key sectors including semiconductors, renewable energy, digital economy, and aerospace, as well as Malaysia’s new incentive framework aimed at attracting high-value, sustainable investments.
