GEORGE TOWN, May 16 – After 15 years of rescuing and caring for abandoned and abused dogs, 4PAWS Penang has launched a fundraising initiative to build a permanent shelter.
For more than 700 rescued animals under its care. Currently operating from rented land in Teluk Bahang.
The organisation aims to move into a purpose-built facility to improve long-term sustainability and expand its rescue capabilities.
In conjunction with its 15th anniversary, 4PAWS will hold a fundraising dinner on June 6 at the Grand Ballroom of Berjaya Penang Hotel.
Funds raised will support land acquisition and shelter development, including kennels, veterinary treatment areas and rehabilitation facilities.
Founder Barbara Janssen said the initiative represents a major step toward securing a stable future for animal welfare efforts in Penang.
