BAYAN LEPAS, May 18 — Marriott International, in collaboration with the Marriott Worldwide Business Council Malaysia and supported by the Penang Convention & Exhibition Bureau.
Successfully hosted the inaugural Marriott International Malaysia, Penang Charity Golf Day & Dinner at Penang Golf Club.
The event marked its first Northern Region edition, bringing together hospitality leaders, corporate partners and golf enthusiasts for a day dedicated to sport, networking and social impact.
The programme featured an 18-hole golf tournament followed by a gala dinner, live entertainment, prize presentations and a silent auction supporting charitable initiatives.
The event was attended by Penang Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo, Marriott International Malaysia Market Vice President George Varughese and other industry leaders.
Proceeds from the event will benefit UNICEF and Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Seri Cahaya Pulau Pinang, supporting welfare, healthcare and food aid initiatives.
A symbolic RM30,000 contribution was presented to the welfare organisation during the event, reinforcing Marriott International’s commitment to community engagement.
Through its Serve 360 initiative while strengthening Penang’s position as a key destination for tourism and business events.
