KUALA LUMPUR, May 20 – SME Corp. Malaysia has announced the appointment of Dato’ Teng Chang Khim as its new chairman, effective May 18, 2026.
The appointment was made by Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen support for micro.
Small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Malaysia. A law graduate from the University of London with an MBA from Universiti Perdana.
Teng brings extensive experience in investment, digital economy and business development. The former Selangor State Assembly Speaker previously held key roles in Invest Selangor.
SIDEC and PKNS, while overseeing investment and SME portfolios as a Selangor EXCO member. SME Corp. also thanked former chairman Tan Sri Bernard Dompok for his contributions since 2023.
