KUALA TERENGGANU, May 22 — The Terengganu government has introduced Phase 1 of its State Economic Stimulus Action Plan to address the global supply crisis and support local businesses and farmers.

Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar said the initiatives aim to strengthen economic growth and sustain the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) sector.

The plan includes a seven-month moratorium for 783 borrowers under the Terengganu Sejahtera Entrepreneur Fund Scheme involving RM2.1 million in repayments.

Alongside an additional RM2 million allocation for entrepreneurs. Around 400 agricultural borrowers will also receive a moratorium until April 2027.

The state will further provide incentives for rice farmers, review construction material price rates and prioritise high-impact small-scale projects under a realigned 2026 budget strategy.
