GEORGE TOWN, May 22 — Parti Gerakan Rakyat Malaysia Penang has criticised Pulau Tikus assemblyman Joshua Woo over a dance video.
Allegedly recorded inside the Penang State Legislative Assembly hall after the recent sitting and uploaded to social media.
Penang Gerakan chairman Oh Tong Keong said the act was inappropriate and disrespected the dignity of the assembly.
He stressed that while politicians are free to create social media content, they must respect official institutions and parliamentary decorum.
Oh also urged all assemblymen, regardless of political affiliation, to preserve the honour of the state assembly and avoid actions that could undermine public confidence in democratic institutions.
