KUALA LUMPUR, May 22 — Microsoft says Malaysia is entering a new phase of AI-driven transformation as organisations move beyond experimentation.

Towards large-scale implementation across business and government operations. Speaking at the Microsoft AI Leadership Summit.

Deputy Prime Minister Fadillah Yusof said Malaysia must focus on building institutions and ecosystems capable of using AI responsibly and effectively.

Microsoft highlighted collaborations with organisations including DKSH, Johor Corporation, Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia and PETRONAS to strengthen AI adoption and digital operations.

The company also announced expanded AI skilling initiatives under Microsoft Elevate, which has already reached 80,000 learners nationwide, supporting Malaysia’s AI Nation 2030 ambitions.
