KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 — Johor Darul Ta’zim FC captured their sixth Malaysia Cup title after defeating Kuching City FC 2-0 in the 2025/2026 final at TM Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil.
After a tightly contested match played under heavy rain, Kuching City missed a crucial opportunity in the 60th minute when Ramadhan Saifullah failed to convert a penalty.
JDT eventually broke the deadlock in the 80th minute through Brazilian winger Marcus Guilherme before Arif Aiman Hanapi sealed victory in stoppage time with a long-range finish.
The victory completed JDT’s fourth consecutive domestic quadruple after also winning the Super League, FA Cup and Charity Shield this season.
The final marked Kuching City’s first-ever Malaysia Cup final appearance, while thousands of supporters created a lively atmosphere despite wet weather conditions throughout the evening.
