GEORGE TOWN, May 24 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) Penang has announced its new state leadership committee for the 2024-2026 term.
Reaffirming its commitment to political stability, reform and people-centric governance ahead of the next elections.
Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow will continue as state chairman, supported by deputy chairpersons Dato’ Dr Mohamad Abdul Hamid, Sim Chee Keong and Muhammad Faiz Fadzil.
PH Penang also introduced three new committees focused on election preparations covering manifesto development, communications and mobilisation.
The coalition said the current political climate remains challenging and unpredictable, stressing the importance of strengthening party unity, grassroots machinery and organisational discipline.
While remaining focused on public welfare and state stability. PH Penang noted that 47 out of 50 promises under the 2023 Unity Manifesto.
Have either been completed or are currently being implemented. Key appointments in the new leadership line-up include:
- Chairman: Chow Kon Yeow (DAP)
- Deputy Chairpersons: Dato’ Dr Mohamad Abdul Hamid (PKR), Sim Chee Keong (DAP), Muhammad Faiz Fadzil (AMANAH)
- Secretary: Lim Hui Ying (DAP)
- Information and Communications Chief: Lee Boon Heng (PKR)
- Election Director: Woo Sze Zeng (DAP)
- Youth Chief: Chong Wei Hoong (DAP)
- Women’s Chief: Hajah Aida Yusof (AMANAH)
PH Penang said it remains committed to preserving Penang’s economic growth, investment momentum and social harmony while rejecting divisive politics.
