ISKANDAR PUTERI, May 25 — Johor is developing a new education ecosystem to directly connect schools with industries in the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone.
State Education and Information Committee chairman Aznan Tamin said the initiative includes a Corporate Adoption Programme and Industry Satellite Laboratory.
Allowing companies to equip schools with modern labs and mentorship while exposing students to real-world applications.
The programme also strengthens STEM education, with 500 teachers undergoing training in robotics, AI and programming.
Johor aims to achieve a 60:40 science-to-arts ratio while introducing applied science modules tied to sectors like hydrogen energy and smart agriculture, positioning the state as a future regional economic hub.
