IPOH, May 25 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Perak has urged Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to defend the Tambun parliamentary seat in the next general election.
Saying his presence is crucial to strengthening Pakatan Harapan’s campaign in the state. Perak PKR chairman Mohamad Hairul Amir Sabri said Anwar’s leadership would help the coalition.
Secure more parliamentary and state seats in GE16, although no decision has been made regarding the prime minister’s future constituency.
He also dismissed claims of a major exodus from PKR in Perak following recent resignations involving several party figures.
Saying the number affected remains small compared to the party’s membership base of over 100,000 in the state.
