KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that the government will continue the Budi Madani.
Budi Agri-Komoditi initiative in a targeted manner to support smallholders, entrepreneurs and vulnerable groups.
Anwar said the decision was made during the National Economic Action Council meeting after discussions on global supply chain pressures and rising living costs.
He said the government understands the challenges faced by the people amid economic uncertainty and remains committed to protecting public welfare.
The prime minister also assured that Malaysia’s medicine supply remains stable, with the Health Ministry continuing close monitoring of stock levels and prices to prevent disruptions affecting consumers.
