SEBERANG PERAI, May 26 — Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim returned to Permatang Pauh today ahead of Aidiladha celebrations and assured Malaysians that the country’s fuel supply remains stable.
Despite ongoing geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. Anwar said Malaysia continues receiving sufficient petrol and diesel supplies.
With RON95 petrol maintained at RM1.99 per litre due to strong diplomatic ties and stable shipping access through the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking during the presentation of 260 sacrificial cows to communities in Permatang Pauh and Seberang Jaya. He said several countries were already facing fuel shortages and long queues at petrol stations.
He added that the government would continue assistance programmes under Budi Madani to help affected groups cope with rising costs.
