KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — foodpanda Malaysia has expanded its pandasafe training programme to Penang, marking the initiative’s first rollout in the Northern region.
As part of efforts to improve delivery rider safety nationwide. The programme uses telematics technology to monitor riding behaviour.
Including speed compliance, braking and cornering patterns, allowing personalised safety interventions for delivery partners.
Since its launch in August 2025, pandasafe has trained 250 riders across Malaysia, with internal data showing 87.1 per cent of participants recorded improvements in safety performance scores.
foodpanda Malaysia director of operations Shubham Saran said the company aims to train 400 delivery partners by the end of the year while expanding the programme to Kelantan and the East Coast.
