KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — Economy Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said Malaysia’s supply of medicines and medical devices remains stable despite global disruptions linked to the Iran conflict.
Akmal said government assessments showed 72 per cent of medicine supplies were at low risk, while only 16.8 per cent required close monitoring.
For medical devices, 81.7 per cent were categorised as low risk. He said Putrajaya has strengthened supply monitoring through a special task force.
Increased buffer stocks for critical medicines and diversified imports through cooperation with countries including China, Japan and Uzbekistan.
