KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 — Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) has appointed vice-president Amirudin Shari as co-election director alongside Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
Replacing deputy president Nurul Izzah Anwar in a strategic party reshuffle ahead of upcoming elections.
PKR secretary-general Fuziah Salleh said the restructuring was aimed at strengthening election coordination, grassroots mobilisation and operational readiness nationwide.
Nurul Izzah will continue playing a strategic role by focusing on grassroots capacity building and machinery development.
The party also appointed Federal Territories PKR chief Azman Abidin as election war room director, assisted by Ruji Ubi.
PKR added that nearly 6,000 new members joined the party between April and May this year.
