KUALA LUMPUR, May 30 — Transport Minister Anthony Loke announced that an independent special task force has been established to investigate the derailment of a train on the Ampang-Sri Petaling Line near Chan Sow Lin station.
Loke said the derailed train would be removed today, allowing repair works on the damaged track to begin immediately.
Services on the affected route are expected to resume on June 3 after the long weekend. Preliminary findings indicate that a malfunctioning track switch caused the incident.
Which resulted in the train leaving the tracks. All 25 passengers onboard were safely evacuated without injuries.
The task force, which excludes representatives from Prasarana Malaysia Berhad, has been given 30 days to complete and publicly release its investigation report.
