BANDAR ENSTEK, June 1 — Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad has signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Pekat Group Berhad to install a rooftop solar system at its DLMI@Enstek manufacturing facility.
Under the agreement, Pekat Solar Sdn Bhd will design, install, own and operate the system, while Dutch Lady purchases the generated electricity without upfront capital investment.
The solar project is expected to generate about 4.9 million kWh of renewable electricity annually, offsetting up to 24 per cent of the plant’s electricity consumption.
Construction is set to begin in June 2026, with operations targeted by December 2026 under a 15-year agreement.
The initiative supports Dutch Lady’s target of reducing emissions and energy intensity by 30 per cent by 2030.
