GEORGE TOWN, June 1 — Motorists are advised to expect intermittent partial night lane closures along Jalan Permatang Damar Laut from June 1 to June 30.
To facilitate preliminary utility works for the Penang Mutiara Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) project. The closures will take place daily from 10pm to 5am.
And will be implemented in stages on the left-most lanes in both directions. Affected stretches include the route from Sendok Café to Masjid Jamek Kampung Binjai.
Towards Bayan Lepas and from Bayan Emas Apartment to M Summit Inovasi Sdn Bhd towards Batu Maung. Project authorities said other lanes will remain open at all times.
While traffic personnel, safety barriers, cones and flagmen will be deployed to assist road users and ensure smooth traffic flow throughout the works period.
