KUALA LUMPUR, June 1 — Rapid KL has successfully lifted and repositioned the final two train carriages involved in the derailment near Chan Sow Lin Station on the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line.
The operation was completed safely at 5.45am by technical teams and contractors. With the carriages now back on the tracks and scheduled for transfer to the depot after service hours.
Attention has shifted to repairing damaged infrastructure and rail systems. Engineering teams are replacing affected track components and conducting inspections to ensure safety.
Rapid KL said alternative train services and free shuttle buses will continue operating for commuters. Passengers are encouraged to use alternative rail routes and monitor official Rapid KL channels and the MyRapid PULSE app for updates.
