JOHOR BAHRU, June 1 — Marina Ibrahim has announced that she will not defend her Skudai seat in the next Johor state election.
And will step away from politics after serving as an elected representative for more than four years. In a statement, Marina said the decision was made following discussions.
With family members and close supporters who had accompanied her throughout her political journey. She said she now wishes to return to community service and grassroots work.
Which had been a significant part of her life before entering politics. Marina thanked voters, volunteers and supporters for their trust and support since the 2022 state election.
While apologising for any shortcomings during her tenure. She also pledged to remain committed to serving the people of Skudai until her term officially ends.
