JOHOR BAHRU, June 3 — Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) is considering bringing forward its state convention, originally scheduled for June 14, following the dissolution of the Johor State Legislative Assembly.
Johor BN secretary Abdul Halim Suleiman said the move is being considered in response to recent political developments and preparations for the upcoming state election.
Johor Menteri Besar and state BN chairman Onn Hafiz Ghazi previously said the convention would strengthen party unity and election machinery.
BN has confirmed it will contest all 56 seats in the 16th Johor state election.
