GEORGE TOWN, June 3 — Penang Development Corporation (PDC) and Aspen (Group) Holdings Limited have jointly announced the resolution of all outstanding issues.
Related to the Batu Kawan Industrial Park 2 (BKIP2) Request for Proposal (RFP) exercise following a recent meeting between both parties.
In a joint statement, PDC reaffirmed that its decision on the RFP outcome was made under its mandate to act in the best interests of Penang and its people.
While Aspen acknowledged and respected PDC’s authority as the evaluating body. Both parties also clarified that previous public statements were issued in good faith.
Based on their respective understanding of the proposal and evaluation process. On the issue of a proposed bridge construction and a First Right of Refusal involving adjacent PDC land.
Both parties confirmed the matter had been discussed directly and is now considered resolved. PDC and Aspen said the issue is formally closed and neither party will issue further public statements on the BKIP2 RFP exercise.
