SEREMBAN, June 4 — Speculation is mounting that the Negeri Sembilan State Legislative Assembly could be dissolved as early as tonight or tomorrow, paving the way for a state election.
Reports indicate that Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun recently sought consent from Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir and the state’s four Undangs regarding the proposed dissolution.
The political situation has attracted increased attention following Johor’s recent assembly dissolution. Separately, the four Undangs are expected to hold a meeting tomorrow morning.
With reports suggesting discussions may include the appointment of a new Yang di-Pertuan Besar. As of this evening, no official announcement.
Or press conference regarding the assembly’s dissolution has been confirmed by the state government.
