GEORGE TOWN, June 5 — Penang Animal Welfare Society (4Paws) will hold its 15th Anniversary Fundraising Dinner on June 6 to raise funds for a permanent shelter home for about 700 rescued dogs under its care.
The event at Berjaya Hotel in George Town will be attended by Chow Kon Yeow and Penang Island mayor Rajendran Anthony.
4Paws chairman Barbara Jenssen said the organisation hopes to acquire a nearby one-acre site to replace its flood-prone shelter and improve long-term animal welfare facilities.
