GEORGE TOWN, June 5 — Motorists are advised to expect periodic daytime lane closures along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway from June 1 to June 30.
As part of preliminary works for the Penang Mutiara Line LRT project. The phased closures will affect inner lanes near Bandar Sri Pinang between 10am and 4pm daily.
To facilitate tree-cutting works under the Mutiara Line CMC1 package. Authorities said the closures will involve sections after Solok Sungai Pinang towards Komtar and near Pangsapuri Desa Pinang 1 towards Bayan Lepas.
Remaining lanes will remain open, while traffic management personnel, safety barriers, cones and flagmen will be deployed to assist road users throughout the works period.
