GEORGE TOWN, June 5 — Lim Guan Eng has claimed that a proposed 70-acre sea reclamation area off Persiaran Karpal Singh was awarded directly rather than through an open tender process.
Arguing that the additional reclamation land was not specified in the Joint Development Agreement (JDA) signed in 2020 for the Jelutong landfill rehabilitation project.
Lim also questioned amendments approved by the Penang State Executive Council regarding a RM20 million project management fee owed by PLB Engineering Berhad.
