JOHOR BAHRU, June 8 — Steven Sim Chee Keong said Bank Rakyat disbursed RM121 million in financing to 150 entrepreneurs in Johor during the first four months of 2026.
Supporting the growth and resilience of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Speaking during a visit to Bank Rakyat’s Johor Bahru branch.
Steven said entrepreneurs require more than capital, including guidance, market access and business networks.
He also presented RM1.53 million in financing to three Johor businesses. The visit coincided with the Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia 2026 Carnival.
Which showcased entrepreneurship development initiatives, financing opportunities and local products.
